The Spanish Rapid Manufacturing Association (ASERM) was founded in July 2004 with the aim of becoming a meeting point for key agents in this field – business enterprises, technological centres, research centres and universities.
ASERM understands that Rapid Manufacturing is the set of techniques, technologies and methods that allow the fast, flexible and competitive manufacturing of pieces –including moulds, prototypes and end products– directly from electronic data.
ASERM aims at being open to all companies, entities and persons established in Spain who participate actively in this field and who wish to contribute towards developing these technologies and instilling them in our country.
ASERM's main working lines highlight knowledge promotion (technical conferences), research and technological development (joint projects) and technology transfer (training, pilot implementations). ASERM strives for national and international collaboration and wishes to utilise existing resources and synergies as efficiently as possible, while encouraging debates on the main issues that can be significant for our industrial sector.
ASERM’s members cover the entire scope of RM technologies, such as layer manufacturing with diverse materials (SLA, SLS, DMLS, SLM, FDM, LOM,…), advanced substractive technologies (UHSM, laser eroding,…), incremental forming (dieless metal forming,…) and near net shape forming (LENS, electroforming, spray forming, TriCLAM,…).
